Happy New Year’s Eve to all the beautiful people, wonderful friends and fellow faithful music lovers in my world! I hope this finds each of you in the midst of a most enjoyable, safe and happy holiday season.
As we approach the closing of the book that is 2022 later this evening and ring in a much better, more successful and all-around healthier, happier and more opportunistic next year, I wanted to share my annual spotlight on the year in music. These past 12 months have offered us, once again, a fantastic array of incredible performances, uniquely impressive recordings and mind-blowing creative genius.
As in previous years, I’ve gone back and reviewed so many of the different, excellent music offerings we been so blessed with during 2022 and culled down the very best of the best. These selections below have stood out in my world and brought much more enjoyment to my daily life…some from newly discovered artists, some from annual stalwarts and some from life-long personal faves.
In reading this blog post and checking out my list, I do hope you will take a look, take a listen and also find yourself digging into some of these phenomenal efforts over the last year. Additionally, I want to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a very Happy New Year filled with great health, outstanding life experiences, more love, life and laughter than you could possibly imagine! May 2023 be to each of you as positive, productive and satisfying as you desire.
So, from Sir Arthur Dog and I here in Southwest Austin to you and your loved ones around the world, wherever this may find you, I’m sending along my annual message of peace, unity, safety, wellness and many better days ahead for us all!
Travel more and LIVE A GREAT STORY, y’all!
Cheers and happy listening from The “Unofficial Mayor of Austin!”
