Labor Day Weekend 2012. Wow, hard to believe it’s here already. Overstated annually, but, really, where has the year gone?

With the last official weekend of the Summer comes cooler temperatures (hopefully), the blessed return of college football and a long weekend to celebrate the avoidance of work and productivity on the job.

For those of you who find yourself “overserved” during this holiday weekend of fun and frolic, or for any of you just seeking to start the day off right, it’s about darn time I share my favorite locations in Austin to “recharge” following a day, afternoon, evening of excessive indulgence or copious amounts of fun…that being the best spots in ATX for brunch and Bloody Marys – two absolute “cure-alls” in my book.

Considering the greatness of all those I’ve included in the lists below, keep in mind, they’re in no particular order. I’ll let you decide for yourself. Also, please note, for those I’ve recommended below for brunch, I would recommend calling ahead or checking the web sites for each to find out if they are offering brunch both Saturday and Sunday or Sunday only.
