Short, sweet and to the point with this one…
With great friends in attendance, we ushered out 2012 and welcomed in the new year in a rather large way with live tunes, plentiful cocktails and great celebration at legendary Austin music venue, Antone’s, down on West 5th Street last week.
Thanks to stellar performances from three different, extremely talented artists – Lincoln Durham, Crooks and The Dirty River Boys, 2013 began as only it should – in a rockin’ way here in the “Live Music Capital of the World.” Wimberley, Texas native, Lincoln Durham, kicked off the night with a great set of “Texas roots rock,” followed by a mind-blowing performance of “Texas outlaw country” by one of my favorite local acts, Crooks, only to have the night capped off and the new year rang in by The Dirty River Boys with their energetic version of “West Texas outlaw folk-americana.”
