Hello friends, followers and fellow music lovers in my world! I realize it’s been another year since I’ve posted to this blog, but despite my absence on here during 2018, here’s wishing each of you Happy Holidays from Austin, Texas! I hope you’re all in the midst of a tremendous, enjoyable and fun-filled holiday season and enjoying every minute of this amazing time of year with friends, family and loved ones.
Not exactly sure where time goes, but with only two weeks remaining in this rather interesting journey through the calendar here in 2018, it’s that time for my annual take and review of “this year in music.” Over the last 12 months, I’ve, once again, veered away from the music world “mainstream” and have stumbled upon a gaggle of excellent audio gems. Thrilled to discover brilliant efforts from a few “up and comers,” a couple true surprises, continued brilliance from industry legends and wonderful consistency from a few of my all-time favorites.
In a few years past, I’ve offered forth more than less when it comes to my favorite music selections for the year, but this time around, I’ve gone back to the basics…my “Top 10 Albums of 2018.” Truly, yet another fantastic year of music and honest appreciation of the incredible talent that we are so privileged to witness, enjoy and appreciate. Once again, I encourage you to check out and give a listen to my selections and, in doing so, hope you might uncover a few audio stalwarts, yourself.
From here in the Lone Star State, I’m sending a message of peace to each and every one of you, and your families, and wishing you a wonderful holiday season and an incredibly successful 2019 chock full of great health, much happiness, infinite love and laughter! LIVE A GREAT STORY!
Cheers from The “Unofficial Mayor of Austin!”
