Prep Your Eyes & Ears: 2012 ACL Music Festival Artist Recommendations

At long last, the 2012 ACL Music Festival Week is finally upon us! My absolute favorite weekend of the year out at Zilker Park here in Austin and a true feast for the senses for the festival-loving, music-craving, fun-seeking sort.

Granted, as with most annual ACL lineups, this year’s is jammed packed with amazing talent, up-and-coming artists and live performers you just don’t want to miss.

That said, to the best of my ability, I’ve completely scathed the 3-day schedule and have compiled my list of best bets and artist recommendations, for those who are curious and interested. And, yes, just as in year’s past, I’ve got plenty of decisions to make with stage conflicts among artists performing on different stages at the same time (crisis alleviated at next year’s ACL Music Festival, running two separate weekends, by the way).

So, without further adieu, here goes somethin’. Cheers to another great ACL and welcome to those headed to Austin for the first time or those returning to ATX for yet another weekend of greatness. Happy Fest, y’all!
