Every year, the multitudes of spirits brands from throughout the world converge on the great city of New Orleans for the annual rite of passage known as “Tales of the Cocktail,” a week dedicated to the celebration of imbibing, the business behind it all, the learning on how much better the industry can get and SO much more, all within the friendly confines of The Big Easy. How much better can it get?
For the first year in our company history, Dulce Vida Organic Tequila attended and sponsored this year’s Tales from July 17-20 and oh what a great time we had! With the historic and incomparable Hotel Monteleone as our base camp and hub of “all things Tales” in the heart of the French Quarter, we attended a wealth of great Tales seminars on anything from the mezcal boom to the love of the agave plant, countless amazing spirits industry events, such as the stellar William Grant & Sons Kickoff Party, and one remarkable dinner, in particular, at SoBou, with great thanks to the kind folks at Esquire Magazine.
In addition, Dulce Vida was a participating sponsor of Thursday evening’s “Finer Side of Mexico” tasting at the Monteleone where, along with many other tequila brands, we showcased and tasted our outstanding organic tequilas among the masses of Tales attendees.
All in all, our maiden voyage and “virgin outing” at Tales was a great success and a huge learning experience, but we wouldn’t trade it for the world. Next year, we’ll be back in NOLA bigger, better and bolder than ever! Here’s to Tales founder, Ann Tuennerman, and the outstanding Tales of the Cocktail staff for putting together yet another amazing event in one of our nation’s finest cities – New Orleans, Louisiana!
